As the Media Relations and Marketing Communications Specialist, you are responsible for coordinating external and internal communications for Crescent Electric Supply Company and their family of brands, as it relates to the development of an overarching communication plan, public relations and media management, sponsorship activities, and our digital news pages on the website and social media. Ownership of external-facing brand elements such as employee signature, social media response, communication templates, and communication standardization. You will create and deliver press releases, emails, videos, newsletters, and other media as needed.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Create internal and external company communications in various formats to most effectively deliver the message relative to areas of responsibility.
Monitor, measure, and manage media coverage and industry trends related to communications and competitors in the news.
Document and deploy the master communications plan for Crescent and sister companies.
Provide communications support for shareholder communications – design and written messages.
Design communication cadence and delivery method for VP of Transformation, Marketing, Sales Operations and Enablement, IT, Industrial Automation, and e-commerce as related to the deployment of key initiatives, business updates, and marketing programs.
Recommend, implement, and maintain marketing intranet site design and operation for relevant employee communications.
Partner closely with the Corporate Employee communications specialist to align on key initiatives, messaging, upcoming marketing programs for leadership communication, and brand standards to ensure continuity across messages.
Develop a photo library representative of the Crescent family of brands and the various locations, employees, and activities.
Publish content to our internal and external news sites and manage the life cycle of releases and articles.
Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, industry study, corporate newsletter content, social media content, and speaking proposals, related to the relevant scope of work.
Develop fresh communication and story ideas by partnering with team members across the Crescent family of brands to capture news.
Conduct media outreach relative to the scope of the role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
5 -7 years' of experience
Microsoft Office Suite experience
Self-reliant, good problem solver, and results-oriented
Excellent and persuasive communicator
10% travel required
