Our Client, a local supply, service, and distribution company, is seeking a personable, dependable, and experienced Office Assistant with strong computer to join their administrative team.

Qualifications

Two+ years of administrative experience is required preferably in a customer service role
Strong computer skills with daily use of MS outlook, excel & word, and proficient at researching and gathering information from the internet / skillful navigational abilities
Customer service, vendor/ customer data entry and spreadsheet experience
Accounts payable and receivable knowledge
Ability to create professional and attention-grabbing marketing materials to be viewed on the website and social media sites preferred
Previous experience in a purchasing department is a plus
Adaptable and dependable in a fast-paced environment
Ability to develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of company’s products
Team player - willing and able to be cross trained in all administrative functions

Responsibilities

Manage emails, answer phones, place orders, and follow up with customers and vendors
Data entry of customer, vendor, and sales information into company’s software system
Provide product specifications and answer product related questions
Assist within the company’s purchasing department
Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing
Place orders as requested by customers and the organization’s outside sales representative
Create and prepare specific reports for management, service, and sales team members
Creating and updating marketing ads daily for company’s social media sites and website
Gather details and create digital newsletter for customers, vendors, and employees (ex. Introducing new products and service, sales or promotions, company news etc.)
Promote company community events and associations

Compensation, Schedule & Benefits Overview

Schedule is typically Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (at times 7:00am to 4:00pm)
Hourly rate based on experience
Paid Holidays’ Vacation and Personal Days earned
