Digital Ink is hiring a Junior Graphic Designer, reporting to the Graphic Designer.

This is a full-time position; location is either virtual or in the company’s office in Takoma Park, MD. Candidates in the DMV area (DC, Maryland, Virginia) are strongly preferred.

The Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for the following:

WEBSITE + DIGITAL GRAPHIC DESIGN

Work with design team on website mockups, using your understanding of good user interface design, current best practices, and the client’s needs
Design social media graphics and visual content for clients
Design email newsletter graphics
Work with design team to plan and execute digital design strategies

PRINT DESIGN

Create flyers, brochures, business cards and other print material using creative layouts and typography
Work with design team and clients to revise print designs
Work with printers to deliver print-ready files, demonstrating solid understanding of print production and techniques

BRANDING

Create or use a client’s existing branding to elevate and extend their presence effectively
Develop and design logos, social media banners and web advertisements
Work with client Style Guides to ensure designs adhere to Brand requirements

PRESENTATION DESIGN

Work with design team to best understand and translate client needs to presentation format
Familiarity with PowerPoint, Keynote and/or Google Slides

INTERNAL MARKETING

Using Digital Ink’s established brand guidelines and templates, create newsletter designs, social media graphics, and format proposals
Work with Director of Marketing and Operations to create internal marketing designs and content

Knowledge in the following tools is preferred:

Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and XD)
Canva
