Who We Are Looking For:

Individuals should be team-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and a self-starter mentality. Must be able to work within our tech-centric platforms, possess a willingness to continually learn, adapt to a changing environment, and step in where help is needed. Prior experience with writing emails and newsletters is required. Must be capable of managing multiple projects/tasks in a structured environment without missing deadlines.

Each month, you'll manage daily content curation, creation, and execution for our two flagship newsletters. Additionally, you'll help extrapolate new story ideas from data and insights, and work with the audience development team to executive a comprehensive strategy. We're looking for someone who is a competent editor with a passion for improving content, educating readers, and enhancing the visibility of the content through our newsletters. The ability to research and provide the best content to our audience is a must, along with vetting existing content.

The ideal candidate already has experience leading a team as an editor, consistent time each day to devote to this role, and the desire to dive right into helping craft publishable content with minimal training. Strategic deployment of each newsletter is crucial to the success of this role.

What You'll Do:

Collaborate with audience development and editorial staff on newsletter content strategy
Work with audience development and editorial staff to prioritize newsletter story curation and queue
Using the WordPress CMS and sourcing across relevant tech/news sites, curate and create editorial content for inclusion in the daily newsletter
Organize and write each newsletter to tell a comprehensive story that ties back to our daily site content and/or the most relevant/unique tech headlines happening that day or week
Maintain a steady and consistent output of each newsletter, ensuring our audience receives their digest at the expected time
Review content for completeness and quality; handle process for revisions
Oversee quality control of all task sets performed including language/tone/voice of content
Possess a keen eye for understanding brand vision and goals, taking necessary and proactive steps to guarantee that we are tracking towards those milestones
Work closely with the Senior Director of Audience Development to create an overarching content strategy, inclusive of daily/weekly/monthly learnings

You Have:

1-2 years of experience as a newsletter or email editor for online publications or relevant companies
Excellent writing and editing skills
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work independently
Strong attention to detail and project management skills
Project Management software skills preferred – Asana experience a plus
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines
Ability to communicate and provide feedback effectively
Superior time management skills
Experience working with web content management systems (WordPress preferred)
