Digital Communications Coordinator (Full-Time)

Salary: $48,000 - $52,000 Annually

Location: Gloucester, MA 01930

Overview:

Discover Gloucester is seeking a Digital Communications Coordinator to manage and enhance our online presence. Primary duties include managing content on discovergloucester.com, executing social media and digital marketing strategies, creating engaging multimedia content, and providing marketing support to partner businesses. The coordinator will also handle general administrative tasks and report directly to the Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage website, social media, and E-newsletter, ensuring integration with marketing strategies.
Promote Gloucester across digital platforms, fostering community engagement.
Develop and maintain digital marketing content and channels.
Collaborate with the Executive Director on complex tasks requiring creativity and latitude.
Create seasonal marketing plans, including content development for various digital platforms.
Produce video content and manage YouTube channel.
Supply media toolkits and act as a brand ambassador.
Generate reports for Board of Directors.
Manage and grow email lists, create newsletters, and handle website content updates.
Support Annual Visitor Guide and related digital campaigns.

Team-oriented with a proactive attitude.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in digital marketing and content creation for social media, web, and other platforms.
Proficiency in WordPress, Constant Contact, and Google Suite; video editing, HTML skills, and graphic design or Canva experience are a plus.
Strong command of the English language.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently or collaboratively.
Knowledge of Gloucester community and enthusiasm for supporting local businesses.
Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Experience in the travel/ tourism industry is preferred.

Work Environment:

Light physical activity; requires some evenings and weekends.
Valid Massachusetts driver’s license for occasional travel.
