Job Description

Elliott Electric Supply is looking for a Marketing Assistant to produce the company’s internal newsletter and administer our company’s internal store experience for employees. The ideal candidate would be a highly creative self-starter with familiarity of good design and has strong writing skills. A positive, can-do attitude is welcome.

Our internal newsletter, the Branch Connection, involves collecting articles written by employees from around the company. Candidate will proofread submitted articles for spelling and grammatical errors and encode into html for final presentation. Monthly editions use creative themes designed to spark best practices in an effort to produce an informative experience for readers. Candidate is encouraged to try new content, activities or interaction to increase readership.

Our company store is a collection of Elliott Electric Supply branded merchandise intended for employee and customer use. Candidate will be responsible for reordering items when necessary, maintaining records of transactions made on the website and billing appropriate EES locations for merchandise purchased. Candidate will also suggest any new items based on feedback from employees and managers. Candidate will be responsible to procure and include newly approved items on the company store.

Candidate will assist others in marketing department as assigned.

Requirements

This is an entry-level position. Professional experience is not required, but will help.
Familiarity with HTML and CSS. Javascript a plus.
Experience proofreading and/or writing copy.
Proficient with spreadsheets.
Experience with order care and billing a plus.
Individual must be able to handle multiple tasks to completion before deadlines on a continual basis.
Creative and with an eye for great design.
Desire to learn new things.
High school diploma or equivalent.
