Internship Overview:

Emerging Tech is seeking a Communication Intern that will help create and implement compelling communications campaigns to drive employee engagement internally and position us as a great place to work for prospective candidates externally. From our social channels – such as LinkedIn and Instagram to assisting with the Acquisition team to write professional pieces of writing. The Communications Intern will play a key role in helping us develop content and tell our unique company story.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages media monitoring and internal reporting.
Assists in preparing and editing internal communications materials used to brief employees.
Assists with marketing to execute strategic communications plans and promote Emerging Tech brand development.
Manages annual calendar of industry conferences and speaking opportunities.
Creates strong influential brand content to promote our reach and mission
Produce written and/or visual communications for a variety of corporate communication vehicles (e.g. corporate newsletter, etc.).
Other duties as assigned.

Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, while balancing and prioritizing multiple or competing tasks.
Ability to use sound judgment and discretion while maintaining confidentiality.
Creative and innovative; the ability to see alternatives and solutions.
Ability to edit and create documentation that is accurate, complete, clear, specific, and as concise as possible.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in progress preferred Communication, Journalism, or English majors with a graduation date of Summer 2023 or Summer 2024
Experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
