About the role:

As the Marketing Manager, your role will be to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to effectively reach, educate, and convert target customers, drivers and partners. Through your efforts, we hope to generate high-quality leads that will ultimately translate into new Companion Drivers and Clients. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the marketing strategy, including paid search, social media, digital advertising, search engine optimization, content development, influencer management, and web marketing. The manager will be a thought leader and develop overall strategy, goal setting, and reporting on all metrics, but will also be a doer that can get their hands dirty and do things themselves directly.

This role is an individual contributor role that is expected to grow into a managerial role with a team of 1-2 direct reports. This person should, therefore, be a capable manager who is excited about growing their team. This position can be remote but with a preference for on-site in Scottsdale or Phoenix, Arizona.

YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy & Cross-functional responsibilities (10%)

Marketing: Own the North American Marketing Strategy and Plan across all marketing channels
- Support strategic planning and development of marketing plans by translating business objectives and strategies into actionable plan
- Create, implement, and drive multi-channel marketing and strategies to drive growth (Companion Driver lead generation, customer acquisition, and market share) in the North American market
- Effectively manage marketing spend in line with the growth and business strategy and make a positive impact on North America
Brand strategy: Build out an effective branding strategy that is in line with our marketing and communication efforts and allows us to build trust and recognition with drivers, customers and partners
Communication strategy: Help set the strategy for driving effective communication with and throughout the organization of your team to multiple stakeholders, including executives, sales, corporate, and regional teams
Cross-functional work:
- Work closely with various departments to ensure programs are well communicated and launched in a timely manner
- Participate in the pipeline and business reviews

Branding and Communications (15%)

Be responsible for updating the image and branding of Envoy in order to build a reputation for reliability and trust and to build awareness (for drivers, customers and partners)
Rework all major branding elements – website, social, logo, etc.
Build out new newsletter and find ways to increase following
Come up with innovative ideas to boost branding and visibility in the public eye

Digital Marketing (40%)

Develop and implement digital strategies that increase the overall number of
Develop and implement a social media strategy for key corporate leaders and Envoy America.
Lead the effort to create and manage digital content including videos, social media updates, website content, and blog posts.
Define influencer strategy, including identifying partnerships, managing schedules, and measuring impact.

Local and National Awareness (25%):

Localize and integrate corporate marketing campaigns for regional demand generation.
Leverage current media relationships, and cultivate new ones (television, print, and online), to develop and publish stories about the good work Envoy America is
Create a “Letter to the Editor” campaign to inform local communities about the opportunities at Envoy America and the great things we are doing.

Analytics and Thought Leadership (10%)

Define and analyze the performance of the digital efforts
Ensure marketing work is being reviewed, the effectiveness of campaign measures, and future strategies considered
Research, analyze, and increase knowledge of social media, digital advertising, web, and mobile and emerging digital industry trends, products, and competition
Be a results-driven marketer with a growth mindset. Utilize your deep understanding of marketing tactics and performance measurements to optimize the Marketing execution strategy to achieve GTM goals.
Continually drive conversion rate optimization. Ensure that marketing performance and impact inform your go-forward strategy.
Track, analyze, and leverage emerging marketing tactics and drive innovative end-to-end programs that deliver leads.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must Have:

4-5 years of experience in managing strategic development and execution of marketing communications, advertising, and brand activities, with a specific expertise in digital marketing
Deep understanding of marketing and incentive mechanisms, especially around human capital.
Strong ability to work cross-functionally, especially with the sales, operations, and recruiting teams.
Desire and preference for getting hands dirty by testing new approaches and not being afraid of rejection.
Strong strategic and operational skills, with the ability to brainstorm quickly and be solution-oriented.
An inquisitive mindset intent on testing hypotheses and learning from trial and error.
Deep comfort with uncertainty and building things from scratch.
Flexible in nature to accommodate new growth and change.
Ability to learn quickly and use multiple different tools.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member.
Fully competent in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
Previous experience in a fast-growing startup.

Preferred:

Previous experience marketing for the acquisition of human capital, similar to Uber or Doordash.
Previous experience as a manager of at least 1 other person.
Previous experience working with local, regional, and national legacy media
Previous experience in the senior services or rideshare industries.
Masters in related field.
