Position Description

Our Communications & Legislative Affairs Team requires additional capacity to maintain and expand our digital systems. The digital marketing associate manages FFAR’s website, maintains consistent branding and oversees FFAR’s social channels. This position works collaboratively to develop an overarching strategy to bolster digital engagement and advance communications around the Foundation’s goals and accomplishments. A successful candidate is a highly creative, collaborative team player, strategic thinker who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and takes a hands-on approach. This position reports to FFAR's Deputy Director of Communications.

Duties & Responsibilities

Website

Manages the growth, content and consistency of the FFAR website
Provides accurate information mapping, including regular monitoring to ensure the site accurately reflects current grant information
Strong proficiency in writing and editing copy for the website and digital media
Develops new website content, including but not limited to writing and editing pages, publishing pages, connecting pages across the site, etc.
Plans and maintains a content calendar
Ensures excellent user experience across the site

Brand Management

Manages use of FFAR’s brand and associated consortia brands, including updating PowerPoint templates, one-pagers, website and social media as needed
Edits documents and creates images and layouts using design software
Tests graphics across various media
Keen eye for aesthetics and details
Generates and promotes monthly organizational newsletter and other documents
Develops new branded materials as needed
Maintains an inventory of FFAR-branded materials
Develops and executes long-term brand management strategies

Social Media Management

Manages social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn)
Develops organizational strategy and tactics to organically increase FFAR’s engagement on social channels
Designs and executes social campaigns in support of FFAR’s goals and priorities
Shoots and edits photos and videos for social media
Plans and manages staff photography at events for use on social media, etc.
Liaises on special events to capture engagement collateral for social channels
Analyzes social media metrics to establish campaigns’ outcomes

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital communication or a related field
Degrees in design, fine arts or related field is a plus
3-5 years of work experience in digital marketing
Exceptional communications skills, both written and oral communications
Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
Previous experience managing websites and optimizing content
Experience in organization branding and/or rebranding
Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, AgoraPulse, etc.)
Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
Demonstrable experience leading and managing organizational social channels
Creative, self-motivated and detail-oriented
Capable of creating and maintaining interpersonal relationships
Experience in organization branding and/or rebranding
Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, AgoraPulse, etc.)
Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
Demonstrable experience leading and managing organizational social channels
Creative, self-motivated and detail-oriented
Capable of creating and maintaining interpersonal relationships

Additional Information

This position requires long periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional travel may required. Work outside of normal business hours may occasionally be required.
