Get Girls Going, Boston is looking for a development coordinator to join our team. Our ideal candidate is aself-starter, ambitious, and reliable committed to our mission.

Get Girls Going (GGG) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that empowers Black teen girls to create social enterprises that solve problems in the world, and in doing so equips them to be leaders that challenge racial and gender inequities that prevent them from success. As a way to increase therepresentation of true leadership in business, Get Girls Going (GGG) runs a 6- week summer incubatoralongside yearly workshops and events for Black teen girls in high school between the ages of 15 and 18that are looking to start businesses and social enterprises of their own. GGG’s vision is to develop thefuture of business leaders in America through entrepreneurship education, mentorship, and social justice.

Get Girls Going is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Development Coordinator to join ourorganization.The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for our mission and vision, demonstrated skillin fund development, and excellent communication and organizational skills. They will take on a diverseportfolio of responsibilities focused on the identification of new grant opportunities, preparation of grantapplications, donor relationship management, marketing, and strategic fundraising initiatives.

Responsibilities

● Discover and track new grant opportunities and maintain an organized dashboard forvisualization and tracking purposes.

● Support the writing process for new grant applications ensuring quality and adherence toguidelines.

● Understand and document all requirements for each new grant opportunity, ensuring allnecessary criteria are met.

● Develop an in-depth understanding of the Mission and Vision of Get Girls Going and effectivelycommunicate it to prospective funders.

● Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective funders, ensuring their alignmentwith our goals and needs.

● Assist in the reporting process of current grants, ensuring all reports are accurate,comprehensive, and submitted on time.

● Develop and implement marketing materials to attract new funders, aligning the materials withour organization's brand and mission.

● Create and maintain a newsletter for current donors that tells the stories of the impact they areenabling with their funding.

● Develop and manage a gratitude care package program to show appreciation to our currentfunders.

● Generate and implement new strategies for sustainable funding avenues to ensure long-termfinancial health of the organization.

● Stay updated with the latest funding and grant-making opportunities in the sector andincorporate relevant ones into our fundraising strategy.

Qualifications/Requirements

● Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

● Proven experience in a fundraising role or similar

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Proficient in grant writing and understanding of grant processes

● Strong relationship-building skills

● Familiarity with marketing and communication strategies

● Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Time Commitment

Development coordinator is expected to work for 20 hours a week.

Duration: 3 month contract, possible renewal after initial contract

Compensation

$25/hour
