This position will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing the Communications function. This individual will be tasked to bring this function to the next level by enhancing both marketing and communications.

Some of the key tasks for the Director of Communications will include four levels of oversight:

Strategy Development

Capability to market all goods and services
Creates marketing plan in conjunction with each Department Head for each department as well as comprehensive marketing plan for the organization
Oversight and implementation of communications plan (includes the cadence, reach and selection of vehicle of communication)
Creates and updates committee mission and vision statements
Sets strategy for and manages social media groups

Tactical Execution

Content and copy editor o Author of White Papers
Performs annual communication audit
Manages the Master Calendar
Website Support
Ensures consistency of all printed materials
Develop, launch and maintain online merchandising
Oversees production of videos for internal and external use
Manages logo implementation, use and process for changes
Serves as point of contact for any Public Relations firms
Observes key events

Performance Measurement & Reporting

Performs communication analytics
Reports on company wide KPIs
Serves as staff liaison and helps implement Satisfaction surveys
Produces and analyzes results from post event surveys and a la carte surveys

Leadership & Staff Support & Management

Conducts semi-monthly Marketing meetings with Department Heads and key departmental staff
Support HR initiatives
Participates in Handbook revisions
Employee Newsletter Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience is a requirement
Ten years of communications and marketing experience with proven progress in terms of responsibility
Proficient computer skills and in-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and other communication software is required
Proven experience supervising and managing employees
Previous experience running the marketing department for a multi-faced business • Experience in website management
