Job Summary:

As ISSA’s Email Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, creating, and executing our internal and external marketing campaigns. These emails include weekly promotional, added value, drip, newsletter, and special announcement emails. This role is data-driven and creative while also requiring strong collaboration with the sales and content teams to deliver impactful emails driving business results. Reporting to the Marketing Automation Manager, you will also identify new revenue and retention opportunities by analyzing lead and member behaviors.

Responsibilities and duties:

Managing and augmenting email lists
Identifying and segmenting target audiences for regular promotional and value-add emails (this includes new email lists from strategic lead magnets)
Using data and cross-departmental feedback to deliver on immediate and long-term needs from emails
Analyzing and reporting on campaign metrics to plan ongoing campaigns and improvements
Designing, developing, and implementing direct email marketing campaigns (copy, graphics, deployment schedule, etc.)
Creating and implementing highly effective mobile-responsive email templates for marketing and sales
Extracting context from data, evaluating and understanding why a customer makes certain decisions
Continuously optimizing and improving on email campaign performance through testing, lifecycle management, personalization, and dynamic content management
Maintaining knowledge of email marketing trends and providing recommendations for improvements
Identifying new revenue opportunities through re-engagement efforts and customer behavior analysis
Managing email-related vendors including consultants, copywriters, and designers
Planning and implementing an annual email editorial calendar that can be refreshed and reused
Upgrading email templates with advanced features or proven successful long-forms
Developing and deploying internal newsletters for company announcements, updates, etc.
Creating cohesive new product launch campaigns that connect the experience through social media, content, website, and ads.
Developing landing pages tied to specific email campaigns
Work with B2B team to execute partnership emails

What is ISSA looking for:

Minimum 1 year experience designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating email campaigns
Prior experience using Hubspot is essential - Advanced level knowledge on use and application
Expert knowledge of email marketing automation technology platforms and industry best practices
Prior experience using design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
Knowledge of CAN-SPAM laws
Impeccable attention to detail with excellent communication skills
Proven ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
Extensive experience juggling multiple projects with expert prioritization
Proven ability to collaborate with all departments i.e. sales, product, e-commerce, finance, and student engagement
Proficient at solving problems quickly while under pressure
Familiarity with analytical and database tools
An ability to work under tight deadlines
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
