Mission

LENS’s mission is to end traffic accidents. LENS prevents accidents and saves lives by detecting hazards to prevent accidents before they happen.

Platform & Product

LENS Detect scans CCTV feeds on highways to identify hazards, in real-time, before they become accidents. Public Safety agencies, alongside Departments of Transportation, receive alerts on the LENS Detect dashboard about Disabled Vehicles, Stalled Big Rigs, and Pedestrians on Freeway. A dispatcher reviews and validates the detection, and then dispatches an officer to the scene to assist the person in need — resulting in either preventing an accident or saving a life.

CBS LA recently did a three minute TV feature that succinctly captures what LENS is doing with Public Safety Agencies in one of the largest traffic capitals in the world:

Manage and coordinate incoming and outgoing correspondence and communications for the CEO.
Draft, edit, proofread, print, and send correspondence and other written materials.
Follow correct titles, salutations, and formats for all recipients. .
Constantly update and maintain the Office of the CEO’s rolodex and contacts.
Track correspondence history, deadlines, and follow-ups.
Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and care.

Mindset, Principles, And Skills & Experience

Your mindset is grounded in:

Anticipation over reaction. You read what is needed before it is asked, remove friction before it slows anyone down, and hold the context that keeps leadership focused on what matters most.
Precision is care. Getting the details exactly right - the right format, the right salutations, the right channel - is how you express commitment to the mission and respect for everyone's time.
Ownership without ego. You take full responsibility for the outcomes in your domain. You don't wait to be told what to do next when the right next step is clear.

Principles you share with us are:

We are well-organized. The more organized you are the stronger our overall correspondence operations are, enabling us to continue to collaborate & create at higher and higher levels.
Invest the most time where it makes the most progress. You evaluate every task and priority by the impact it will have on the CEO's effectiveness and the company's ability to move the mission forward.
Begin with the end in mind. You understand what a successful outcome looks like before you start, and you work backwards to ensure every step is accounted for.

Prior correspondence management experience supporting diplomats, senior officials, or the Office of a CEO.

Experience in environments with external-facing leadership responsibilities, including exposure to government stakeholders, public sector partners, enterprise customers, or similarly relationships with significant responsibility.

As a Correspondence Manager in the Office of the CEO you play a critical role in LENS expressing its gratitude for those that are lending their voice to the mission, and helping us further accelerate ending traffic accidents.

The time to accept traffic accidents is ending, and the time to prevent them is beginning. This belief is becoming more of an inevitable reality every day. The number of people public agencies and departments are helping with LENS keeps growing faster and faster.
