The Community Relations Program Manager coordinates community relations programs that include public inquiries, support work on the state donation registries, coordination of department of motor vehicle partner relations, coordination of community volunteer advocates, and donation education programs that provide diverse communities with accurate and engaging information and resources about organ and tissue donation throughout Alaska, Washington, Idaho, and Montana.

Public Education Programs & Donor Registry Support

Executes and maintains donation education created for driver’s education programs designed to improve organ and tissue donation rates in local communities.
Develops partnerships in identified multicultural and diverse communities aimed at raising awareness about organ and tissue donation and improving education related to the importance of donation registration.
Ensures the public has the most up–to–date, accurate, real-time access to information about organ and tissue donation via the website and printed collateral.
Acts as lead for all public inquiry phone calls and emails related to donation questions or registry information.
In collaboration with the IT team, manages the donor registry website content and helps to identify any processing or data irregularities for Montana and Washington.
Develops and provides new employee orientation presentations for public messaging.
Develops and provides registry donor search training to appropriate clinical staff.
Serves as a donation expert to the public for presentations on donation.
Serves on the Donate Life America State Team for Montana and Washington.

Department of Motor Vehicle Relations

Develops and enriches relationships with key partners at the Department of Licensing (DOL) in Washington and Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) in Montana.
Develops overall public education and communication strategy, in collaboration with DOL & MVD and others as needed, aimed at providing easy access to donation information via DMV communication channels for the general public.
Leads the design and development of all DOL & MVD staff education about organ, eye, and tissue donation, including but not limited to print collateral, videos, training materials, newsletter submissions, etc., and the importance of asking the legally binding donation question in their transactions.
Ensures accurate data collection to inform business strategy for improving donor registry rates in targeted DOL & MVD service areas.

Volunteer Coordination

Identifies volunteers to share their personal donation or transplantation story via written or verbal communication (e.g. donation collateral feature, media interview, hospital or community presentation, video)
Provides general volunteer support to our community members via web resources and/or public messaging trainings.
In collaboration with the Aftercare and Communications teams, attends, and assists with various events, including Donation Celebrations in Washington, Montana and Alaska; Governor’s Gift of Life Award Ceremonies in Washington and Montana, and other events as needed.
Works cross-departmentally to continuously identify and develop donation stories to help advance the mission of donation amongst various stakeholders.
Coordinates and fulfills requests for volunteer speakers.

Project Management

Responsible for annual LifeCenter budgeting process for community relations programs.
Responsible for annual program plan development and implementation of community relations program plans to drive progress and growth for LifeCenter.

Fluency in the Spanish language is strongly desired.

Education, Experience & Job Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Communications, or Marketing from a four-year accredited college or university. Relevant work experience can be considered and substituted for academic requirements.
A minimum of five years experience in community outreach, marketing/communications, or volunteer management
Requires a valid driver’s license and access to an insured automobile or the ability to arrive and depart from work- and work-related functions at expected times.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster, or applicable medical or religious exemption will be required as a condition of employment upon offer. For those that need to complete the vaccination series, start dates will be adjusted.
Employees must reside in a location within LifeCenter's service area which includes Washington, Montana, Alaska, and Northern Idaho.

The pay range for this role is $52,653 - $76,368. Where a candidate’s compensation falls within this range is based on several bona fide factors such as experience, tenure, and other specialized knowledge.
