Job Overview

The Communications Specialist will support the PR and content team in efforts to shape and execute Loftware’s voice, narrative, and communications to drive brand awareness, thought leadership and positive sentiment. The ideal candidate will possess solid written and verbal communication skills, as well as research capabilities. You will help to produce internal and external communications materials for media pitches, articles/bylines, digital resources, and newsletters, as well as award and speaking submissions. You will report to the Director of Content & Communications. The ideal candidate will have an interest in writing and public relations for the enterprise software space.

Location: Remote, Greater Boston Area preferred

Duties & Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Obtain an understanding of the Loftware brand and the corporate messaging, as well as important storylines, customer challenges, solution benefits and brand differentiators
Create content briefs and assist with outreach to external content writers as needed
Assist with corporate blog and help to develop blog content to support marketing initiatives
Research and help manage submissions for awards and corporate listings, as well as any additional corporate branding and sponsorship opportunities
Help to research, develop and distribute customer surveys as needed
Oversee relationships with associations and maintain corporate overview on external sites
Maintain and update media relations database and assist with media monitoring and reporting
Develop internal PR newsletter and other emails to promote media coverage and any content development company-wide
Help to develop and manage PR editorial calendars
Assist with social media and help to develop posts to support marketing initiatives

Preferred Qualifications and Soft Skills:

Bachelor's degree required in Marketing, Communications or related field
1-2 years relevant work experience, B2B/Tech/SaaS/Life Sciences
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience developing content (blog, social, reports and press materials)
Outstanding organizational skills and ability to hit aggressive deadlines
Project Management skills
Salesforce, Survey Monkey, Wrike and Cision platform experience is a plus
Ability to work independently as well as work with a team
