The Opportunity

We are looking for an autonomous and highly self-motivated individual to join our team as Marketing Manager.

You are excited to strategize and execute creative marketing opportunities across our brands, which will include online and offline community engagement, paid/organic marketing channel management, newsletters, and more.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Develop and execute creative marketing plans for new album releases and product launches in collaboration with relevant internal and external teams
Coordinate press releases and engage external PR
Implement digital strategy, social media rollouts, content marketing opportunities
Develop and implement strategy across Materia Music’s brands
Drive and direct brand communication, brand awareness, and outreach opportunities for Materia Music’s brands
Create engaging copy for announcements, products, and releases
Analyze markets and fanbases to estimate product demand
Attend industry events, conventions, and trade shows as needed
Create marketing content for use in promotional materials
Conduct analysis of both internal and external brands to better leverage our position in the marketplace

Requirements

Deep passion for music and video games
The ideal candidate is obsessed with social media and Internet culture, and will have an authentic, bustling, and competitive social media presence of their own
5+ years of experience in marketing music, interactive media, or related fields
Experience running successful paid ads on both social media and search with great ROI results
Capable of producing monthly reporting, as well as the occasional quarterly presentation summary
Superlative communication skills and adaptable communication style for interacting with team members, clients, and industry
Exceptional time management and organization skills
A demonstrated history of planning and executing successful products and releases, especially for elevated priority sales events like BFCM
Analytical and problem-solving skills for coming up with ideas to increase demand for products and services
Experience with content creation for newsletter and social media (TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube)
Enthusiastic to embracing change
Experience interfacing with other departments to convey and execute creative vision

Bonus Stages (extra skills)

Candidates in the Seattle, WA metropolitan area a plus. Hybrid/remote work is available
Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite
Familiarity with Shopify, Yotpo, Klaviyo, Buffer
Familiarity with photography/film
Familiarity with creative social media tools to help keep things interesting

What we offer

$70-80k starting salary based on experience, with accelerated salary growth potential based on performance
