Summary Of Position

Meridian International Center seeks a collaborative and strategic Communications Associate to support content creation and execute communications strategy across Meridian's digital and social channels. This position will help the team with audience curation and grow sustained engagement through compelling, creative tactics while positioning Meridian's brand, mission and work as esteemed, credible, and trusted.

This position is located in Washington, DC and Meridian requires MD, DC, or VA residence for all employees. The position may work partially remotely but appropriate event attendance (day and evening) is a requirement of the position. This position is eligible for overtime pay.

Position Responsibilities :Producing daily email and social media contentPromoting and managing programs and event marketingConducting data analysis on campaigns and other marketing needsResearch across the organizationCollaborate proactively with all Meridian teams for fundraising, stakeholder/program engagement and corporate communicationsAssist with communications and marketing around Meridian's flagship events including the Diplomacy Forum, Culturefix, Summit and Meridian Ball.Responsible for completing all organizational administrative responsibilities in a timely manner and meeting all organizational administrative deadlinesOther duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree in communications or related fieldDigital marketing or social media related experienceOr any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Knowledge and experience working with Salesforce and Pardot or other similar email marketing software to manage online email communications.Knowledge of digital and social media platforms and their respective functions to execute successful social media campaigns.Ability to track data and analytics on X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, among other media platforms.Strong English writing and copyediting skills and detail-oriented proofreader, with ability to tailor content for social media, website, blog, email newsletter, email marketing, etc.Proven ability to curate, create and compose compelling written, visual and multimedia content published in a timely way with viral potential.Strong inter-cultural communication skills; maturity, cultural sensitivity, and tact suitable for working with individuals from around the world.Strong inter-cultural communication skills; maturity, cultural sensitivity, and tact suitable for working with individuals from around the world
