Messika is a luxury French jewelry Maison, designed by Valerie Messika. The Sales Associate role is to embody Valerie Messika’s passion and creativity for diamonds and jewelry design. The Sales Associate must be skilled at developing and nurturing client relationships, while identifying opportunities to expand upon the client’s personal collection of fine and high-end jewelry. The Sales Associate must hold the critical position of acting as a Messika brand ambassador, consistently exceeding client expectations, and achieving their individual monthly sales targets. His or Her passion and entrepreneurial spirit is conveyed in every conversation and imperative for the success of this important role.

As part of the US Retail Department, the Retail Coordinator is at the heart of Messika's retail business and challenges.

This role supports the US retail network and leads 360° projects to improve the store experience while maintaining operational excellence.

Reporting to the US Retail Director, the Retail Coordinator conducts projects and assignments autonomously and collaboratively with team members of the US office, Boutique teams, and Paris Headquarter departments in areas of Retail Operations, Administration and Business Analysis.

This role is in contact with all support departments and acts by streamlining activity and communications. The Retail Coordinator participates in the growth of External and Internal Retail and ensures a uniform customer experience in all Messika Boutiques.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES

RETAIL OPERATIONS

Update internal local retail procedure documents and ensure their distribution to the Boutique teams.

Act as monthly communication filter to ensure that essential information is being communicated to the Retail network.
Archiving and controlling of local and HQ Retail Memos on shared drive ensuring all Team member’s access and awareness of newly distributed HQ policies/guidelines and any local procedures.
Monitoring the use of the latest Retail Operations Book and adhering to all guidelines: Internal and External Retail version.
Research and development of the operational tools necessary to improve the local retail activity: Assist with developing operational best practices within retail network.
Stock monitoring and distribution for all retail tools (warehouse to boutique). This includes quota verification/stock alerts/ordering of all retail tools and liaising with HQ and internal/external Boutique teams.
Liaise with local BTQ network and HQ Retail dept. to ensure timely communication of Boutique calendars/events and activations and ROI reporting for the publishing of the Retail Newsletter.
Boutique support with Vendor relations regarding repair & maintenance of the boutique environment.
Monitoring and controlling of Incentive calendars and budget. Grooming policy expense archiving.
Support Tour Guide/Business Development initiatives assisting Boutique Managers/Retail Director.
Creation and updating of networking opportunities calendars for Retail Teams.

MERCHANDISING

Inventory support as needed, specifically during annual inventory
Support boutique merchandise inventory inquiries in a timely manner (Temporary until the Operations Department can fully take over)
Places and monitors special merchandise orders in respect to model stock via M3 (Temporary and in coordination with the Merchandising Manager until the Operations Department can take over)
Ensures timely follow up with HQ/local Merchandiser on all special Boutique requests

RETAIL NETWORK, REPORTING, ORGANIZATION, TRAINING & CRM SUPPORT

Assists the Retail Director in the management of internal and external retail openings.
Support of new Boutique Openings with implementation of retail infrastructure (vendor agreements/ internal retail tools)
KPI report update (sales & CRM) for weekly and monthly retail meetings
Participates in the organization / preparation of Managers Meetings (updated data entries for KPI files).
Monitoring Clienteling log, support boutiques with formatting, compare with traffic log, and update Retail Director & Boutique teams on progress.
Assist in the preparation of all Training events for the Retail teams.
Assist in Mystery Shopping Tool training and navigation.
