Summary:

The Public Relations Coordinator will support the Sr. Director of Public Relations and the PR Department. Organizational skills are a must, as is the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and vacillate between duties in a fast-paced environment. This role will help meet the administrative needs of the Public Relations team, as well as higher level project work as needed. Working both July 4 and New Year’s Eve is mandatory for all Nashville CVC staff.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Organize and filter daily press clippings through Burrelles Media Monitoring.
Support incoming media requests as needed.
Support managers’ needs surrounding media tours and events.
Oversee department invoices.
Schedule internal and external meetings for team.
Update industry contacts in Simpleview (member database) as requested.
Manage and fulfill visual assets (image library, b-roll, etc.).
Maintain reports and provide reports to Sr. Director of Public Relations and Board.
Book travel, itinerary appointments/reservations, hotels for visiting media, as well as arranging the delivery of media gifts prior to arrival.
Write, post and monitor social media as needed.
Actively engage and assist media at CVC events (including Music City Walk of Fame Ceremonies, July 4 and New Year’s Eve).
Write Nashville Fan Club Newsletter.
Assist in writing copy as needed.
Assist with Press Groups on site as needed.
Assist with expense reports for Sr. Director of Public Relations.
Assist Sr. Director of PR with projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience in Public Relations, administrative support and/or hospitality industry preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills with an eye for detail
Solid writing skills for marketing copy, emails and letters communicating with internal and external partners
Comfortable working with diverse personalities and work styles on a regular basis
Ability to multi-task in high energy, fast paced environment, moving seamlessly between projects
Keen knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
