The primary purpose of this position is to answer routine human resource questions, maintain/update employee personnel records in UltiPro & Epicor, enter payroll maintenance/new hire information, prepare weekly payroll reports/audits, enroll and assist employee with company benefits, prepare and distribute reports based on business needs or management requests. This role will also provide administrative support for daily, weekly and monthly plant or office duties for several functional areas. The HR Assistant will partner and collaborate with the site HR Business Partner and provide support to a growing, fast paced and fun manufacturing environment!

Duties And Responsibilities

Screens candidates; reviews applications, conducts phone screens, schedules applicable testing, and coordinates/schedules onsite interviews & offer letters.
Assists in the pre-employment process, administering the requests for background checks, MVR’s, drug screens and hearing tests.
Reviews and enrolls new hires for benefits (full package) and assists with yearly open enrollment.
Manages UltiPro/Epicor updates for new hires, current employees and former employees.
Assists with initial setup of New Hires, onboarding, PTO balances, Cornerstone, payroll/timecards corrections and weekly audits.
Issues proxy & timecard badges for new hires and current employees.
Reviews all human resources related invoices and processes them accordingly.
Uploads/responds to unemployment insurance reports/requests of former employees.
Assists with headcount, OT, weekly reports to ensure data integrity between UltiPro/Epicor on a weekly basis.
Actively contributes to the HR team on a daily/weekly basis.
Supports managers and employees interpreting and applying policies in accordance with the employee handbook and benefits Summary Plan Descriptions.
Coordinates activities for designated new hire onboarding training.
Maintains training records using Cornerstone for new and current employees.
Supports and may participate in special programs offered to employees. Revises and prepares material for presentations.
Coordinates employee engagement activities.
Write, update and/or distribute the location newsletter.
Other duties as assigned. This position will primarily support HR, but may provide administrative support for other functional areas.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering HR excellence with proven HR experience preferably in a manufacturing environment with multiple shifts. In addition, the ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities and also possess solid time management skills.

Skills And Qualifications

Prefer 3-4 years administrative experience within a manufacturing environment.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and ensure data integrity.
Flexibility in scheduled work hours to ensure adequate coverage.
