Business Unit Introduction:

Summary

The Creative Technology Intern supports the Creative Technology team with basic creative requests. The requests include creating email newsletters, interface communications, and other creative work as needed. The intern will join team meetings and may participate in team projects.

Key Responsibilities

Creation of HTML email newsletter and interface communications. Reviewing team JIRA board. Responding to and allocating JIRA tasks. Loading content onto team Sharepoint page and cleaning up PPT decks to match new brand guidelines. Organize team content to operate effectively

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Basic understanding and some experience working with HTML, some CSS, Adobe Creative Suite applications, specifically Photoshop and other web technologies.
Ability to prioritize work, set expectations, meet deadlines and produce consistent, quality work on time and within budget. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office programs including Excel and PowerPoint.
Direct or online marketing experience with newsletter, email, and website creation and layout is not required, but is a plus.

Bachelor's degree in progress

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the hourly rate for this role will be between $20 - $25 per hour. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location.
