About You

You have a year or more of work experience in communication, or you are a recent college graduate with relevant internship experience. You are excited to learn more about communication in the world of nonprofits and philanthropy. Your writing is clear and direct, and you’re a proficient copy editor. You have experience organizing your work on multiple projects at the same time and you thrive on working on different tasks each day.You are psyched to dig into a research project that takes you deep inside an organization or issue. You’re proactive about finding ways to help the team, whether on client projects or occasional administrative tasks.

At Springboard, your job as a coordinator will be a combination of client work and marketing support to the team, including:

Managing project details including monitoring budgets, creating and managing workplans, working with clients to keep projects moving forward, scheduling and summarizing calls, taking notes, and compiling monthly billing.
Contributing to the development of brand and communication strategies, messages, and materials such as reports, press releases, letters to the editor, newsletter articles, and social media posts.
Conducting analytical research, such as materials reviews, media scans, and competitive analyses to glean insights that inform smart strategies.
Supporting the firm’s marketing outreach, including posting to our social media accounts and organizing firm events.

You like being part of a small, close-knit team and at the same time, you’re great at working independently. You’re comfortable working from home, with occasional travel. You’re excited by new challenges but don’t think any task is beneath you. You take work seriously, but don’t take yourself too seriously. You’re a good listener and ask a lot of questions. You think a few steps ahead and being organized is one of your superpowers. Your idea of the perfect job is working on issues you care about while still having time and energy for your life outside of work.

The salary range for this role is $55,000-$60,000. Our offer to the final candidate will reflect your level of experience and competencies. We offer benefits including:

We’re a virtual team headquartered in the D.C. area, with teammates in Maryland, New Jersey, and Washington state. This position is virtual, with a preference for an applicant in one of these regions.
