The Astronauts Memorial Foundation is looking for a vibrant and engaging Social Media Marketing Specialist to highlight the great projects and programs occurring at the Center for Space Education and at Kennedy Space Center.

It is crucial that the Social Media Marketing Specialist understands the importance of the AMF mission, and creates engaging content for the consumer in a way that also honors the legacy of our fallen astronauts and looks ahead to the future of human spaceflight.

Responsibilities

Develop social media strategy and content plans that are consistent and aligned with AMF branding
Create meaningful and valuable content on social media and mailing platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, digital newsletter)
Create and edit social media posts, focusing on consumer engagement
Maintain all social media accounts and keep up with direct messaging platforms in a timely manner
Using analytical tools to monitor and evaluate AMF's social media presence and performance
Prepare monthly reports on social media marketing efforts
Identify key demographics as current and future marketing targets
Staying up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media

Requirements

High school diploma or GED (college experience is preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Thorough understanding of social media management and strategy.
Experience using various analytics software.
Time-management skills

Position: Part-time (24-30 hours per week)

Location: Kennedy Space Center, FL; Hybrid (Social Media Marketing Specialist is required to be on-site for special events or programs, and in the office at least two days per week)

Compensation: $17-18/hour

Supervisor: AMF Deputy Director
