Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and self initiating professional to join our growing development team and implement an ambitious development plan with the overall goal to advance the mission of Treehouse Foundation and deepen our impact across Massachusetts. This role is an in-house coordinator of all development activities and an administrator responsible for organizing and structuring all back office operations. This position will coordinate internal development processes and workflow, prospect research, database management, integration with office systems, handling of logistics of all development activities, and event support.

Primary Duties:

Reporting to the Director of Development, grow, manage, and enhance use of the Donor Perfect Online DPO database for all development activities and financial reporting on all sources of funding (individual donors, foundations, corporations, and public funders)
Coordinate and manage mailing, contact, and registration lists in database and email systems for appeals and events
Manage development activities including annual and monthly plans, development calendar, shared filing system, storage, and database for visual materials for development and budget
Research and manage database transition; support planning and coordination of development team and staff
Organize and support gift acknowledgements and donor communications
Handle logistical aspects of all direct mail and digital appeals
Undertake individual, foundation, and corporate donor prospect research
Organize meetings and handle logistics and staffing for fundraising, cultivation, and appreciation events in collaboration with the Development Committee in Easthampton, Boston, and other Massachusetts locations
Schedule and prepare materials for prospect and donor meetings
Provide communications support to develop and implement development and communications plans (case for support, appeal, newsletter, website, annual report, impact reports; donor reports; social media, corporate sponsorships, guidestar)
Manage logistics for donor events at different locations and annual conference including coordinating Treehouse team and representation
Support grant management, tracking, and reporting
Prepare monthly Board of Directors materials and support Volunteer Committees
Draft reports and update development documents, policies, and procedures
Participate in social change, racial equity, and DEIB initiatives and training with the team
Undertake related duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

Commitment to and experience in working in a mission-driven nonprofit setting
Commitment to advancing anti-racism, diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging and cultural humility
Experience in development: fundraising database systems, donor prospect research, and report generation
Demonstrated ability to engage in respectful teamwork and to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including Board members, donors, vendors, consultants, foundation and corporate executives
Self-initiating and able to work independently and create efficient and transparent processes
Proactively manage a diverse workload and meet deadlines
Experience with donor database software, Excel, Google Suite, Zoom, CANVA, Constant Contact, Wordpress and proven ability to learn new systems
Superb organizational skills, excellent attention to detail and planning skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Consistent application of confidentiality, diplomacy, and tact
Undergraduate degree preferred, commensurate experience considered and valued
Drivers license and vehicle or reliable transportation to Easthampton, Boston, and other Massachusetts locations

Benefits & Compensation:

This is a full time 40 hour per week non-exempt salaried position. The salary range is $48,000-54,000 commensurate with experience. This position is primarily remote with some travel to 1-2 monthly in-person meetings in Easthampton/ Boston, Massachusetts and occasional evening and weekend hours for events.

We offer a best in class paid time off package including 12 paid holidays, 3 weeks of vacation, plus the last week of December off, and generous sick time and personal time.
