The WACNJ is seeking college interns for Summer 2023. Interns will contribute to our mission in meaningful and measurable ways and gain valuable professional experience. Interns will be assigned a mix of recurring duties and specific projects. A modest stipend will be offered. We are also happy to work with your college’s internship office to help you get academic credit for your work.

Responsibilities may include:

Program support may include researching ideas for new programs; working with speakers and panelists; coordinating and facilitating event logistics; promoting and publicizing programs; and developing programming strategies to grow the organization.
Nonprofit management support may include building event budgets; maintaining contacts databases; assisting with fundraising appeals and general financial management; researching nonprofit best practices; and assessing the technologies best suited to advancing our mission.
Communications and public education support may include drafting copy for our website, creating content for our newsletter, monitoring and managing our social media accounts, developing event materials, ensuring high-quality graphics across all platforms, drafting press materials. and developing responses to emerging issues.

What we are looking for:

Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students with a strong personal connection to New Jersey.
Passion for international affairs, community education, or nonprofit management as demonstrated through academic major and/or extracurricular activities.
Practical experience with Microsoft Office and main social media platforms. Excellent communication skills.
A minimum two-month commitment of 15-20 hours each week. Hybrid arrangement will be developed to suit each intern's personal circumstances.
