Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Newsletter Writer and Editor in the Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics (CMMG) at its Detroit campus location. This is a part-time, hourly position.

Essential functions (job duties):
- Oversee development and production of CMMG’s quarterly newsletter which includes brainstorming article ideas and concepts, interviewing for profile pieces, writing articles and announcements, editing, and layout and formatting of the newsletter for distribution.
- Prepare announcements, profile pages and news postings regarding the faculty, trainee and graduate student accomplishments for website and other communications.
- Perform other similar duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with Word, Publisher, Illustrator and Photo editing software required.
Strong scientific writing background preferred.
Working conditions:
Standard office environment. Flexible Hybrid schedule.
