Communication and Marketing Coordinator
Tualatin Riverkeepers is searching for a Communication and Marketing Coordinator. The position is part-time (20 to 24 hours/ week), with flexible hours, and leads all communication and marketing efforts, as well as our annual Green Heron fundraiser.
Mission
Tualatin Riverkeepers protects, restores and expands access to the Tualatin River watershed through advocacy and fostering broad community engagement.
Position Description
The Communication and Marketing Coordinator works closely with the Executive Director to lead the organization’s communication and marketing work, including social media strategy and posts, newsletters, and marketing to prospective business partners and sponsors.
Specific responsibilities include:
· With support from board and staff members, serve as the lead in coordinating our annual October Green Heron fundraiser.
· Research and send marketing materials to business partners related to group paddle trips, restoration work, and event sponsorships.
· Produce TRK’s annual electronic newsletter.
· Plan and coordinate social media posts.
· Respond to phone and email inquiries concerning TRK activities - events, volunteer opportunities, and watershed-related questions.
· Assist with office-related tasks such as mailings and ordering supplies.
Required Qualifications:
· Attention to detail and strong writing skills
· Social media work
· Passion for our conservation mission
· Ability to work with community members from diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications:
· Associate degree
· Graphic design experience
· Understanding of Tualatin River watershed
Salary and Benefits:
· $23.50 - $25.00/ hour; 20-24 hours per week
· 50% paid health insurance
