Who We’re Looking For
We’re hiring a top-tier newsletter editor and email copywriter to shape high-impact content for one of our marquee clients. This is not your average content role – we’re looking for someone with the judgment of an editor-in-chief, the brain of a growth strategist, and the flair of a headline writer at The Economist. Your job? Turn smart ideas into emails people actually want to open — and act on.
You’ll help lead writing and editing for email content that already has reach and credibility – your job is to make sure it lands with power. Think high-performing newsletters, exec-level voice, sharp commentary, and inbox copy that earns the click.
The Details
- Freelance, remote
- 40–80 hours/month depending on availability
- Long-term engagement; reasonable availability during working hours preferred
- Excellent pay; potential for full-time
What You’ll Do
- Write and edit weekly and biweekly email newsletters for senior decision-makers in tech and marketing
- Craft subject lines and intros that demand attention and deliver value
- Translate complex ideas into punchy, clear, editorially rigorous copy
- Line edit content with a scalpel: sharpen voice, tighten structure, cut the fluff
- Help shape and evolve newsletter formats for maximum engagement across desktop and mobile
What You Bring
- 7+ years of editorial experience, ideally at a media company or high-growth content brand
- A track record of creating email content that gets opened, read, and acted on — think Axios, Morning Brew, The Hustle
- Deep understanding of how to balance clarity, voice, and strategic messaging
- The ability to turn around crisp, high-credibility copy fast
- Equal comfort working with execs, strategists, and other editors
- Bonus Points If You’ve:
- Ghostwritten or edited C-suite newsletters or investor-facing comms
- Run content that landed in the inboxes of Fortune 500 decision-makers
- Worked in tech, B2B, SaaS, or marketing-driven orgs
