Job Description
This role will be based in San Francisco or New York City.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
The Brand Strategy team sits within LinkedIn’s Marketing Solutions organization, and partners with the world’s top advertisers and agencies to deliver an array of offerings across content, strategy, and creative solutions and integrations. The team serves as a center of brand campaign expertise across the LinkedIn platform, in support of LinkedIn’s ad sales team, and in service of LinkedIn’s brand advertisers.
The Brand Strategist is a senior-level marketer and strategic thinker who LinkedIn’s ad sales team engages to drive the creative approaches for high-profile advertiser/customer engagements. The Brand Strategist builds measurable and effective strategies that meet client objectives, while leveraging the unique attributes of the LinkedIn platform and the behaviors of its members and users. You'll work cross-functionally across several teams and subject matter experts to collaborate with LinkedIn’s ad sales team, helping advertisers achieve their top-of-funnel marketing objectives, with a focus on brand campaigns and launch-based initiatives. The ideal candidate is an ambitious self-starter and seeks a challenging work environment, motivated by fast-paced, entrepreneurial conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Serving as a platform expert for LinkedIn – articulating its differentiated capabilities and inspiring potential to advertisers and agencies when it comes to their most important brand advertising initiatives and launches
- Aiding our sales teams by becoming a valued resource to advertising clients and their agencies, who see you as a key advisor when it comes to all things brand strategy and communication on the LinkedIn platform
- Crafting and presenting compelling, insights-driven pitch narratives and activation strategies to advertisers and agencies to drive campaign investment – from day to day media planners to CMOs
- Developing creative campaign strategies that meet client objectives, are executable, measurable, and most of all are tailored for the advertiser’s target audience(s), by leveraging insights and crafting activation ideas
- Collaborating with content, creative, insights, and technical colleagues to develop, test, incubate, execute, and measure business-driving ideas for brand advertisers
- Working effectively cross-functionally, building relationships with a number of internal teams, from sales to marketing, product, comms, and finance to develop new ideas and publicize inspiring work on the platform and in the market
- Facilitating a collaborative, strategic, and creative team environment by inspiring, listening to, editing, and molding the direction of the work
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in digital media and marketing at agencies, platforms, publishers, or brands, with a focus on B2B marketing environments.
- 6+ years of experience in designing and implementing creative digital/social media programs that drive brand awareness, user engagement, and commercial impact.
- 6+ years of experience presenting and pitching strategies and ideas to senior-level marketers and executives, including CMOs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading and managing client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact across engagements.
- Experience influencing sales team members through strategic counsel and cross-functional collaboration, helping to drive client success and commercial outcomes.
- An understanding of LinkedIn's advertising solutions, and overall advertising model, as well as deep subject matter expertise of the broader social media and digital advertising landscape
- Deep understanding of digital/social user experiences and how to collaborate with creative and technical/product experts to bring them to life
- Experience being a people manager
- Strong customer service and solution-focused attitude, including interpersonal skills
- Proficient computer skills (PowerPoint, Keynote, Word, Excel)

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $280,000 to $428,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
