Range: $24.55 - 29.66 per hour
Required Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree in human services field and 3-5 years' experience in home visiting and/or early
childhood experience, including 3 years of administrative and/or supervisory responsibility. An
equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Summary/Objective: This position is responsible for the oversight and day-to-day management of the Home Visiting Program, Home Visiting Supervisor, Family Engagement Specialist, and Parent Education.
Essential Functions
- Direct oversight of the operations of the Family Engagement Specialists (7), and Home-Based Educator Supervisor (1) indirect oversight of Home-Based Educators (5) in accordance with the Head Start Performance Standards and the CAAC policies and procedures.
- Participates in the annual program self-assessment, date collection, grant writing, and strategic planning/visioning.
- Assists in collection of community needs and annual reporting data.
- A member of and works collaboratively with the other member of the Leadership Team.
- Provides day-to-day in/indirect supervision for curriculum implementation, assessment, problem solving and conflict resolution, to assure program compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and program policies and procedures.
- Communicates regularly, respectfully, and cooperatively with all.
- Reviews and approves the operations department financial reports, i.e., payroll, mileage, etc.
- Completes annual performance evaluations for assigned staff and self-evaluation.
- Participates in the collection and analysis of Program Information Report data and In-Kind Collections.
- Participates/facilitates in program meetings, i.e., Staffing of Students, School Readiness, Leadership, Management and Family Engagement Meetings.
- Identifies, recruits, and enrolls eligible families.
- Coordinates the recruitment of parents & community members to participate on the Policy Council and attends Policy Council meetings as deemed necessary.
- Conduct and coordinate evaluation of the program participants and activities according to program requirements.
- Monitor home visits at least quarterly to observe home visiting activities.
- Assist in facilitation of substitutes, when needed for Home Visits.
- Responsible for facilitating and coordinating parent education opportunities.
- Assist in coordination of male involvement events and additional grants operated within the program.
- Develop and distribute marketing and referral information about the program to inform the community and potential participants.
- Develop and monitor program activities to ensure the program is effectively responding to community and participant needs.
- Assess participant satisfaction with program services through interviewing, surveys, and other means.
- Participate in agency data collection and analysis.
- Conducts professional development training for team members, community members and parents.
- Participates in interviewing panel and hiring staff.
- Writes, updates, and implements assigned sections of Local Plan.
- Reviews and approves the monthly program newsletter.
- Adheres to the agency's Confidentiality Agreement.
- Respects and promotes the unique identity of each child and family, and refrains from stereotyping based on gender, race, ethnicity, culture, religion, or disability.
- Ensures compliance with all Local, State, and Federal regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Early Education Services Director.
