For over 42 years, U.S. Futaba, Inc. has specialized in wholesale importing of furniture hardware for the North American woodworking industry. U.S. Futaba, Inc. operates from our warehouses in Santa Ana, CA and Chesapeake, VA. We develop products and programs with suppliers around the world for customers across North America.
Our Opportunity
We are looking to grow our marketing team. The Marketing Coordinator will work on projects pertaining to our monthly newsletter, annual catalog, annual trade show preparation, and marketing campaigns. This role will also develop and maintain our company’s website and our company’s overall social media presence. This role promotes autonomy and will provide an environment to foster the required skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher.
· Previous work experience in a similar role.
· Proficient in Microsoft 365 – specifically Excel, Outlook, Word, OneDrive, and Teams.
· Effective and comprehensive verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent time management skills – punctual and proactive.
· Strong attention to detail, and strong planning and organizational skills.
· Based in Hampton Roads, Virginia.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
· Experience with writing copy for a company.
· Familiarity with the furniture hardware industry.
· Experience with Prophet 21 and Epicor Data Analytics.
· Experience with software including but not limited to Google Analytics, Adobe, Canva, and ChatGPT.
· Experience in website development – specifically Letterpress.
· Experience in running social media sites.
· Experience in event and/or trade show planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Research, write, and publish our company’s newsletter.
· Participate in editing, proofing, and publishing our company’s annual catalog.
· Review, manage, and improve our company’s website.
· Assist with projects related to marketing campaigns, trade show planning, and product development.
· Research, develop and maintain company’s presence on the most beneficial social media platform(s) in relation to our industry.
· Collaborate with our various marketing-related providers to plan and execute projects.
· Collaborate with sales team to promote U.S. Futaba, Inc.’s brand and catalog offering.
· Seek out opportunities for growth through research related to products, services, or industry standards.
· Become an expert in global trade and hardware.
