Position Overview
We’re looking for a highly motivated and creative Communications Specialist & Event Manager to lead internal communications, support marketing initiatives, and manage company events. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is passionate about storytelling, and can drive engagement across multiple channels.
The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with a sharp eye for detail, a strong grasp of brand voice, and the ability to manage projects across teams and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Internal & External Communications
- Develop and distribute a weekly internal newsletter with updates on company news, employee highlights, promotions, wellness initiatives, and upcoming events.
- Create and maintain the weekly organizational "wire" to ensure company-wide visibility of key initiatives and happenings.
- Write and edit compelling content for internal and external audiences across a variety of platforms, including:
- Email campaigns
- Website copy
- Presentations
- Social media posts
- Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all communications.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather content and deliver timely, engaging messages.
- Monitor and respond to online reviews professionally and thoughtfully.
- Review and edit social media content to ensure alignment with the company’s tone and strategic goals.
Event & Project Management
- Lead planning and execution of company meetings, webinars, community events, and conferences.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication initiatives with internal teams, external vendors, and creative partners.
- Support broader marketing and PR campaigns tied to key events and initiatives.
- Cross-train on coordinator tasks to provide backup support as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a communications role (internal and external); real estate industry experience a plus.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities; able to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with:
- Social media platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, X, Google)
- Content scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite)
- Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint)
- Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, Constant Contact)
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- 2+ years of experience in digital content creation.
- Bilingual or multicultural marketing experience preferred.
