We are currently looking for interns for all year round, so when applying please let us know your date range availability and/or what semester you are interested in. We are located in Solon, OH and all events are local to the Cleveland/Akron area. Please make sure when applying that you will be physically here in the Cleveland area to work. AKA if you go to school out of town but come home for summer, then summer would be for you. Everyone else, any date range or semester would work! You must be located in the Cleveland/Akron/Northeast Ohio/Canton area for duration of the internship to apply.
This internship actually involves working with three of our in house brands/companies, so you'll get experience in a variety of industries. All three of these companies fall under Rebecca Adele PR & Events and include the following businesses you'll work on:

Is social media your jam? Want to learn how to create newsletters, eblasts and create a brand? Then read on!
At Rebecca Adele PR & Events, we are looking for interns who are interested in event execution, retail, entrepreneurship, communications, social media, and business (to name a few!) If one or all of these describes you, then this could be a match made in sweet heaven!
Throughout this internship you'll learn a variety of skills including:
- Social media marketing and writing
- Social media management (working with platforms such as Hootsuite and Facebook scheduling)
- Public relations writing for press releases
- Blog writing for client/vendor features
- Event coordination/logistics/execution
- Learning to sell in a retail setting at various events
- eBlast writing and design
- Working with various social media tools: CapCut, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, HootSuite, X, LinkedIn
- Working with a Canva professional account to learn how to make engaging content for social media writing
- Networking with other industry/event professionals (we work with companies such as Rocket Mortgage Arena/Cavs, Playhouse Square, local wedding coordinators/companies, and local party planners/companies etc.
See below for each description and what duties entail. You will get to work within all three companies, so the internship has more of an agency feel overall!

We are currently looking for interns who will perform the following tasks:
- Create weekly conversation calendars for social media plans on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok. This also includes building 100% original images in Canva to go along with these plans.
- Have a hand in branding promotions this includes but is not limited to developing and writing eblasts, newsletters, event and new product/sales promotions that occur seasonally. This will take place Monday-Friday remotely during the week.
- Manage our dropbox account by creating and uploading content weekly for marketing needs.
- Post live on social media while at events (Content includes status updates and stories on Facebook/Instagram/Tik Tok. The more creative and on-brand, the better)
- Pre-spin pre-packaged containers of ready-to-go cotton candy and assist with logistics leading up to events (this will require you to come into our office studio (located in Solon). Studio shift will either be 10am-1pm, or 1pm-4pm, one day a week.
- Write press releases quarterly to promote who we are, what we do, and what's new within the company to gainer media attention.
- Assist with photoshoots and/or videos! We constantly come up with new flavors and seasonal marketing campaigns, and need new creative content for our social media. Expect weekly to shoot/edit and prep photoshoots/video content, where you are the creative director. You'll stage, design and shoot new content for us to use on our social media!
- Shoot behind the scenes content that posts weekly with our audiences. Learn how to use various creative softwares including Canva, CapCut, Boomerang, TikTok and more!
- Work local events we sign up for including but not limited to (parties, weddings, art shows, festivals, farmer's markets and more!) At events you will be responsible for working the booth, collecting payment, posting on social media, taking pictures of the events, cleaning up following the event etc. Again, for events, plan to work 1-3 events a weekend during your internship period (they are paid!!). Early mornings are a must as farmer's markets open early. Late evenings may also pop-up from time to time if working a corporate or wedding event. Experience hand on what it's like to be in charge of an entire event from client contact, working the booth/handling sales, to content creation live in the moment on site.
AVANT-GARDE ART & CRAFT SHOWS DESCRIPTION:
The Avant-Garde Art & Craft Shows is a show line that consists of 100% handmade artisans and crafters around the mid-west. Annually, the organization hosts 20-30 handmade festivals throughout the year in the Cleveland/Akron, Columbus and Cincinnati areas.
In addition, the organization also works with the City of Solon and City of Willoughby to assist in bringing handmade markets to city festivals.

We are currently looking for interns who will perform the following tasks:
- Help promote current vendors/artisans through social media posts leading up to the events
- Write press releases to promote the events that will be distributed to the local media
- Do blog writing on vendor features of the different vendors and their bios
- Create event captions/statuses for social media to be posted within the events leading up to the shows on various social media platforms.
- List the event on various event listings to help create a buzz and help with search engine optimization (SEO) to get the show in front as many eyes as possible
- Day of event logistics: checking vendors in, handling cash sales in and out at the various events, doing social media live at the events throughout the day. Helping assist in vendor needs and breaking down events.
LAKE ERIE SOCIAL CLUB DESCRIPTION:
Lake Erie Social Club is a locally owned and operated fashion and accessory lined based out of Cleveland, Ohio. The brand focuses on coastal/nautical inspired designs as well as regional local living (sports, entertainment, city pride etc) focused apparel and accessories.

We are currently looking for interns who will perform the following tasks:
- Help create an online presence through the creation of social media posts and scheduling these posts within various social media platforms through conversational calendars.
- Create weekly new designs for a chance of your work to be sold as one of the newest designs on our website lakeeriesocialclub.com.
- Working on occasion 1-4 events per semester where Lake Erie Social Club apparel and accessories can be sold at festivals and promoting the brand and our designs.
- Create eBlasts of seasonal drops as well as current promotions and new announcements regarding the Lake Erie Social Club brand.
ALL THREE BRAND REQUIREMENTS FOR THE INTERNSHIP:
During the work-week, you will be required work remotely during the week from home, and one day on site in the studio. In addition, you can be expected to work 2-3 events on weekends when scheduled. See below for the breakdown:
DAY 1-5: Throughout the week you will work remotely from home helping prep social media plans (creating conversation calendars, creating graphic design content, and scheduling ) for CLE COTTON CANDY, LAKE ERIE SOCIAL CLUB, and the AVANT-GARDE ART & CRAFT SHOWS. In addition, you will be assisting with newsletter eblasts, videos for social media and promoting upcoming events and marketing campaigns on social media and for eblasts. To name just a few examples of the remote work you'll be peforming.
For Lake Erie Social Club you also will get an opportunity to create designs for merchandise that actually will be sold in our online store, to strengthen your creativity when it comes to content as well as build out your portfolio of design work.
STUDIO DAYS: One day a week for 3 hours, you will come into office in-person at our studio to do event prep for weekend events, and/or prep orders from our online shop and retail locations, and participate and plan photoshoots for marketing needs/campaigns as necessary. One day is always required, two days is if we have overflow of event/order/logistic prep/photoshoots etc. that needs completed. This allows you to get everything you need for any anticipated events you may have on the weekends.
WEEKENDS: Please expect to work anywhere from 1-3 events a weekend on average during the semester. You will also be compensated for your gasoline for events. Also, the above stipend does not include tips that you will likely receive at many of the events. Many private events, markets and festivals, people will tip at the end of the event. You keep 100% of any tips received at the events you work!
PAYMENT:
Please note that this internship is a stipend paid internship that is paid out at the completion of each work week. More on the stipend will be explained during the interviewing process.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A car to travel to and from events
- Computer to complete assignments
- Fill out and sign a travel release, and hold harmless agreement, you will have the chance to review all of these prior to starting the internship if selected in the interviewing process.
