About This Role
This is a full-time, fixed-term position for two years. This is an on-site position located in McAllen, Texas requiring bilingual Spanish/English skills. The pay is $18 per hour with full benefits.
The Program and Sponsorship Assistant provides cross-cutting operational and administrative support to the Texas team. The Assistant is instrumental in supporting sponsorship operations, day-to-day logistics, procurement, communications, and external engagement. The Assistant will also play a role in improving systems and workflows, supporting donor readiness, and ensuring efficiency across the office. This role requires someone detail-oriented and organized, a fluent Spanish speaker/writer, and a go-getter willing to learn and dig into sponsorship, administrative, and operational processes.
Required Experience And Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in administrative coordination, logistics, or operations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Valid driver’s license.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for administrative and office management functions to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Monitor and support the use of data collection tools to track participation, measure progress toward goals, and document impact;
- Lead the production of a monthly Texas team newsletter and support preparation of program and new business documents for external engagement and influencing.
- Provide support in school/community activities and contribute to managing sponsorship processes during peak seasonal periods.
- Purchase and track supplies to ensure cost efficiencies, compliance with approved budgets, and timely monthly reports.
- Review materials for compliance with ChildFund branding requirements.
- Organize internal/external meetings, workshops, and travel logistics (space usage, AV, meals, scheduling, receipts, reimbursements).
- Coordinate logistics pertaining to Gift in Kinds resources(receiving, recording, tracking).
- Support the digital transition of sponsorship processes and operations of the Texas Area Office.
- Identify opportunities to improve office workflows and operational processes, making recommendations for efficiency and stronger coordination across the team.
- Other duties as assigned.
