We’re relaunching an established global hardware marketplace into a next-generation platform for makers, engineers, and educators — connecting smart hardware products, function modules, design tools, AI, and manufacturing partners. Our tech & product team is based in China; we’re now hiring our first US-based community & operations lead to help drive growth and shape the ecosystem.
What you’ll do
- Grow and support a global community of makers, hardware developers, and educators
- Onboard and coach sellers/creators to launch great products and function modules
- Plan and run campaigns, challenges, and events (online & offline) around AI + hardware, education projects, and reference designs
- Build partnerships with universities, labs, maker spaces, and communities
- Collect user/seller feedback and work with our China-based team to improve the platform
- Create and coordinate content (stories, blog/newsletter, social posts) that showcases our best products and creators
What we’re looking for
- Based in the US, comfortable with remote work and occasional travel
- 3–7 years in community, operations, growth, DevRel, or product marketing
- Genuine interest in electronics / embedded / maker hardware (you know what Arduino / Raspberry Pi / ESP32 / dev boards are, even if you’re not an engineer)
- Strong English writing and communication skills
- Experience organizing events or campaigns (meetups, hackathons, online challenges, product launches, workshops)
- Comfortable working with international teams and across time zones (US–China)
- Data-aware and willing to use AI tools (ChatGPT, etc.) in daily work
Nice to have
- Background in EE / CE / embedded systems or serious hardware hobbies
- Experience with hardware communities, dev board brands, distributors, or edu-hardware startups
