Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana is the state’s largest hunger relief organization and one of the leading food banks in the Feeding America Network. In additional to vital hunger relief programs in our 21-county service area, we also operate Fresh Connect Central, a regional produce cooperative for Feeding America, serve as a contract reclamation site for Kroger Central Division, and are a staging site for FEMA disaster response.Position Purpose of The Program Service Manager: The Programs Service Manager has lead responsibility for Network activity including, but not limited to, customer service, community outreach, relationship building, training assistance, and network standards reviews of the Gleaners2Go Program in the Gleaners 21-county service area. The Programs Service Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with Feeding America, government regulations, and health codes as well as all donor/grant requirements. 14 paid holidays 3 Paid Sick Leave Days, Federal Holidays, 2 Volunteer Days & BirthdayLearning & Development OpportunitiesCompany paid vision, long-term disability, $50,000 life AD&DPaid Life and Long-Term Disability InsuranceMaternal, parental & caregiver leaveOn-site GymWellness programs403(b) Plan with up to 4% matchMonthly attendance bonusEarn up to 10% incentive payApparel allowanceEssential Functions of The Program Service Manager:Manage Gleaners’ hunger relief distribution activity via G2G, within the Gleaners service area.Serve as primary point of contact for all assigned G2G Sites to ensure the highest level of customer service.Work as a liaison between the G2G Sites and other internal departments.Work collaboratively across departments in Gleaners organization to ensure the achievement of operational efficiencies.Manage and ensure compliance with all Feeding America requirements, Gleaners and government regulations (TEFAP) and local health codes where applicable through monitoring visits, inspections with proper tracking and documentation, including site compliance.Expand and leverage community partnerships within assigned programs to recruit new and/or enhance current distribution sites, with regard to storage capacity, volunteers, leadership development, or other needs as identified.Provide guidance on any hunger relief efforts in assigned service area in collaboration with internal and external partners to strengthen the existing network.Collaborate with Advancement & Finance Departments in Fund Raising Efforts and Grant Management.Ensure that G2G and Home Delivery Program Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documentation are regularly reviewed, updated, and shared as needed.Active participation in staff, departmental, board or board committee meetings as requested.Contribute to the development and management of the annual operating budget.Provide input for organizational communications, including story bank, newsletter, website content, etc.Provide information for Feeding America’s Network Activity Report, biennial audit, fiscal year end audit, and other reports as needed.Perform all other duties as assigned.Education and/or Experience of The Program Service Manager:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.Work experience in related field.CRM/ERP and e-commerce experience (Customer Service Management System and Warehouse Management System desired).Food Safety and Handling Certified, or ability to be certified.
