Women Leaders is currently seeking applicants for a dynamic Marketing – Junior Associate to join its energetic and collaborative team in Kansas City. This is a full-time, 12-month, paid position, beginning January 2026. If you are eager to grow as a leader and content creator, develop your professional talents, and open doors to a career in sports marketing, we want to hear from you! As a Marketing Junior Associate, you will collaborate with the marketing team during all stages of marketing campaigns and will be responsible for the execution and delivery of projects, as assigned. The position will also build and expand Women Leaders’ social media footprint and overall impact in the digital space. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand, and maintain our marketing channels.
Junior Associate duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the marketing team in all multimedia production efforts. This includes filming, video editing, photography, graphic design, and other digital content creation
- Create content for Women Leaders National Convention event promotion and production
- Assist with monitoring and producing creative, concise, and compelling content for Women Leaders social media platforms (X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) according to the organization’s social media strategy
- Manage weekly and monthly email newsletter production
- Create decks and marketing materials for internal and external use
- Provide additional support for the marketing team and other departments, as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Proven experience in digital marketing, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful campaigns
- Proficiency in social media platforms and email marketing tools
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Creative thinker with an ability to generate fresh and engaging ideas
- Passion for women's leadership and sports
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and highly coachable
- An optimist who sees challenges as opportunities and believes everything is “figure-out-able”
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Knowledge of content creation and email tools. These include the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Hootsuite, Microsoft Office, email marketing platforms (Higher Logic Informz) and other web-based software
- Experience with DSLR photography and videography is a plus
Compensation: $32,000 annual salary and access to 401k with employer match up to 4%.
Junior Associate Period: 12-Month Period (includes 5 days of PTO), hybrid work
