Mississippi Public Broadcasting is committed to delivering quality programming and engaging content that informs, educates, and inspires our community. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Coordinator to develop, coordinate and execute marketing campaigns to elevate our brand in an evolving media landscape.
About the Position:
The Marketing Coordinator will develop and implement innovative communication strategies and campaigns that align with our business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). This role is critical in overseeing the station’s brand, crafting compelling messaging, and ensuring consistent promotion across all platforms.
The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of industry trends, a passion for creative writing, and highly skilled in digital platforms and the following attributes:
•Strategy Development: Create and execute comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that support business objectives and drive audience engagement based on data driven strategies.
•Brand Management: Oversee the station’s brand identity and ensure consistent messaging across all channels, including print, digital, social media, on-air promotions, and community outreach.
•Campaign Execution: Plan and manage integrated marketing campaigns that effectively promote programming, events, and initiatives while measuring their impact against KPIs.
•Content Development: Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling content for Fine Tuning, MPB’s print and email newsletter products that resonates with diverse audiences and reflects our mission.
•Market Research and Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, analyze competitive landscape, and identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
•Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with community partners, sponsors, media, and other stakeholders to enhance visibility and support for the station.
•Events: Work with other departments and communications team to plan and manage logistics surrounding MPB community events.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related fi eld. •5 to 7+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with a focus on public media, or non-profit sectors.
•Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft 365 Office Suite.
•Knowledge of Constant Contact, or similar email marketing platform, as well as Sprout Social or similar scheduling social platforms.
