About The Role
Astera Labs is driving a connectivity transformation in AI Infrastructure, and we need a content engine that matches the velocity of our innovation. We're hiring an
Editorial Lead to build scalable systems that dramatically increase our technical content throughput while maintaining the quality and depth that earns trust with hyperscalers, ecosystem partners, and technical audiences.
What You'll Do
You’ll be an early part of the Communications team, charged with establishing Astera Labs as the definitive voice in AI infrastructure connectivity. You’ll demonstrate to hyperscalers, XPU vendors, and system architects how rack-scale architecture is transforming and why our solutions are essential to that transformation.
In this role, you'll architect the editorial infrastructure that enables high-velocity content production across owned media channels—from our technical blog and newsletter to executive bylines and multimedia content. You'll create frameworks, processes, and workflows that empower cross-functional teams to generate compelling technical content at scale. Rather than being the sole creator, you'll be the systems-builder who unlocks content creation across the organization—turning subject matter expertise from engineering, product, and leadership into strategic narratives that advance our market position.
Part strategist, part editor-in-chief, and part production architect, you'll establish the editorial standards and content operations that allow Astera Labs to show up consistently and authoritatively as the semiconductor industry's most technically credible voice in AI infrastructure.
This is an opportunity to build the content production engine for a rapidly scaling public company—one that reaches the most sophisticated technical buyers in the world and shapes how the industry understands the future of AI connectivity.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Astera Labs’ editor-in-chief: Define the strategic vision and content roadmap for Astera Labs’ owned media properties—identifying key architecture challenges, emerging interconnect trends, and technical narratives that position Astera Labs as the rack-scale connectivity authority
- Enable scalable cross-functional content creation: Work closely with leadership, product, engineering, and marketing teams to develop content frameworks, source technical expertise, and empower others to create high-quality, high-velocity output as we scale.
- Coordinate multimedia production: Project manage in-house designers and outside videography contractors to produce technical videos, visual explainers, and multimedia content that resonates with hyperscaler and ODM/OEM audiences.
- Measure impact and optimize: Define success metrics, track content performance, and use data insights to refine strategy continuously. Translate analytics into actionable recommendations that improve reach and engagement.
- Expand Astera Labs’ GEO efforts to identify high-impact opportunities and turn those insights into prioritized content initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience and domain expertise: 7+ years of experience in journalism, strategic storytelling, or editorial roles, with a focus in enterprise AI, cloud infrastructure, or semiconductor technology.
- Technical fluency: Familiarity with, or ability to learn, semiconductor connectivity solutions within AI infrastructure systems.
- Project management: Strong organizational skills and bias for action, demonstrated by managing editorial calendars, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and driving complex projects to completion on tight timelines.
- Exceptional writing and editing: Outstanding ability to write clear, compelling, technically accurate content for our hyperscale customer and ODM/OEM partner audiences. Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
- Challenger mindset with editorial courage: Question status quo processes to scale content production efficiently and bring bold editorial points of view and distinctive writing style that respectfully pushes stakeholders toward content that truly engages rather than merely informs.
- Editorial instincts: Strong instincts for voice, tone, message discipline, maintaining technical accuracy, and narrative clarity.
- Point of view on AI: Where it fits and where it does not fit in the editorial process.
