Growth MarketerSan Francisco · Full-Time · Rarebird
About RarebirdRarebird is building a less lonely world by connecting people who should be together. We're not another swipe app—we champion quirks, celebrate originality, and help people choose to love boldly instead of collecting matches like trophies. Our mission is simple: connect people who should be together, then get them together in real life.
Here's the problem with every dating app today: they show you random profiles and ask yes or no. A match just means you both said "good enough." We think you deserve better than good enough. Rarebird learns what you actually value in a match — not through a quiz, but by showing you two profiles and asking "who would you rather meet?" From there, Rarebird learns what you actually value in a match, then surfaces the people you'd be most excited to meet, and who'd be most excited to meet you.
We stand for curiosity, collaboration, and wholehearted appreciation. We stand against influencer culture, shallow follower counts, and the doom scrolling that fuels loneliness.
The RoleWe're looking for a Growth Marketer who will bring Rarebird to life online and in San Francisco through grassroots marketing, intimate community events, and authentic storytelling. You'll be the bridge between our digital presence and real-world connection, managing our flyering operations, social media channels, and event programming as we convert our 1,800-person waitlist into an active, invite-only beta community.
This role is perfect for someone who loves building things from scratch, thrives on tangible impact, and believes that real connection happens when you put your phone down and look someone in the eye.

- Basic video editing skills for Instagram Reels and TikTok (CapCut, Premiere, or similar)
- Comfort being on camera and creating content in public spaces
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Alignment with Rarebird's mission and values—you're tired of swipe culture too

- Background in content creation or social media management for mission-driven brands
- Familiarity with Notion, Adobe, Figma, and Google Drive for collaboration
- Existing connections in SF's creative, tech, or wellness communities
- Experience with guerrilla or grassroots marketing tactics
