Members of the WSTA Board of Directors are mission-driven.

Description:
Serve as a voice on the WSTA Board of Directors representing members from one of ten WSTA regions, which are arranged according to the ESD distribution of the state.
Term of Office:
Three year elected position
Tasks:
- Represent the voice of the science teachers of one of the ten WSTA Regions
- Recruit and retain WSTA members
- Attend and participate actively at ALL Board meetings
- Provide input and feedback on association activities during conferences, meetings, and committee work
- Create, promote, and/or facilitate WSTA professional learning
- Support WSTA conferences, newsletters and missions
- Facilitate regional networking and communication
- Connect with Regional Science Coordinator to share regional activities and Professional Learning opportunities
- Share timely and applicable regional science education information and opportunities for the WSTA Newsletter and website through the Communications Coordinator, as well as share with WSTA members in your region via emails and/or social media posts
Annual Duties:
- Facilitate at least one Regional Professional Learning opportunity annually
- Offer STEM Clock Hours
- Contribute at least one article for the WSTA Newsletter
- Generate at least one original social media post
- Send out quarterly email to Region (separate from state-wide)
- Take on a role to support the annual conference and/or serve on a subcommittee
