The Licensing Brand Manager plays a critical role in protecting and elevating the Sunkist® brand across all global licensees. This position is the first and primary reviewer of all brand-facing materials and serves as the process owner for the contractually required licensee approval workflow. “Protect the Brand” is the number one objective, and this role is essential to ensuring brand integrity, consistency, and compliance worldwide. The Licensing Brand Manager acts as the primary day-to-day contact for global licensees on brand usage, approvals, and communications, while working closely with internal stakeholders across Licensing, Marketing, Legal, and other functional teams. In addition to brand review responsibilities, this role leads key department initiatives, manages projects that elevate how the Licensing team presents itself to prospective licensees, and develops sales and marketing materials that support business growth. Success in this role requires strong project management, organization, collaboration, and proactive ownership. The Licensing Brand Manager is instrumental in keeping the Licensing Department running smoothly, responsive to licensee needs, and continuously improving how the team shows up internally and externally.
Essential Job functions/ Duties:
- Own, coordinate, and manage the contractually required licensee approval process for all uses of the Sunkist® brand globally, including packaging, labels, advertising, marketing, promotions, websites, digital and social media, and related materials.
- Serve as the first and primary reviewer of all brand-facing materials, ensuring alignment with graphics guidelines, brand standards, best practices, and contractual requirements and route materials for internal review and approval across Licensing, Marketing, Legal, and other required stakeholders; ensure approvals are completed accurately and within required timelines.
- Communicate approvals, feedback, and required changes to licensees clearly, accurately, and promptly; serve as a trusted brand steward and primary point of contact.
- Maintain ownership and ongoing management of the Graphics Standards Manual.
- Lead and manage projects and initiatives designed to elevate the Licensing Department’s capabilities, processes, and external presence with prospective and existing licensees.
- Develop and maintain Licensing sales and marketing materials, including presentations and
- reporting, utilizing tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Teams, and AI-enabled tools
- Provide oversight and project management for the Licensing Newsletter, New Product Sampler, and other licensee communications and materials, including content development, layout, production, sample sourcing, and delivery aligned with the annual calendar.
- Coordinate Licensing participation in trade shows, including booths, displays, and featured licensee products.
- Act as a liaison for licensee-to-licensee communication, product sample requests, image requests, and other day-to-day needs.
- Manage and maintain the global licensee contact list, Licensing Portal access and content, and licensing-related content on the Sunkist website.
- Lead planning and execution of the Global Licensing Conference, including coordination with internal teams, licensees, vendors, budgets, and timelines.
- Manage procurement, budgeting, and inventory for Licensing premiums, gifts, and department resources; oversee department subscriptions and tools.
- Provide administrative and organizational support to the VP and Licensing Directors as needed.
- Manage office operations related to licensee contracts, including updating agreements, maintaining files, and updating online contract summaries.
- Build and sustain positive, collaborative relationships internally and externally; actively contribute to a cohesive, high-performing team environment.
- Demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, and self-initiative, proactively identifying next steps, driving projects forward, and ensuring timely follow-through.
- Communicate consistently and effectively with team members, internal Sunkist stakeholders, and external partners in a global, multilingual, and culturally diverse environment.
- Maintain exceptional organization and attention to detail to keep the department operating efficiently and effectively
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Certifications/Licenses, and Experience:
- 4-10 years of experience related professional experience.
- Preferred 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Business and/or International Studies or equivalent related professional experience.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED.
- Required a valid driver’s license
- Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess strong computer applications skills with expert knowledge of Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Teams.
- Possess excellent judgment, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with or coordination of graphic production.
- Ability to be detail-oriented and organized with ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple processes and always deliver by deadlines.
- Ability to interact with all levels of organization and Sunkist licensees.
- Must be able to work with limited supervision, demonstrate a natural curiosity to learn, solve problems and is proactive. Can demonstrate an ability to be a self-starter, take initiative and able to take ownership of processes and projects.
