We’re hiring a full-time employee to support an organization’s field sales and home office communications. The organization is a large-scale pharmaceutical company headquartered in the Pennsylvania/New Jersey area, with locations around the globe. The Senior Communications Consultant is responsible for managing communications to the organization’s US-based sales force and home office employees and will be an integral part of the communications team’s efforts to engage and inspire employees, support the growth objectives of the business, and make a difference for patients.

Responsibilities
The Senior Communications Consultant will possess keen business and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure, accommodate tight deadlines and successfully juggle multiple tasks and expectations. Core duties and responsibilities include:
- Write, edit, and route communications for compliance review and through numerous approval processes. A successful candidate will be able to draft executive communications, capture voices of senior leaders, and effectively create business messaging.
- Work closely with the client’s Neuroscience Communications & Public Affairs team to ensure the creation and implementation of best-in-class communication initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic communications counselor to two (2) National Sales Directors (NSDs) and create and execute communications planning that drives business goals.
- Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on communications and initiatives.
- Comfortably work and communicate directly with members of the senior leadership team.
- Maintain familiarity with the inner workings of the sales organizations and identify nuances within them to ensure the team is effectively communicating with the intended audiences.
- Develop compelling, creative, and strong internal organizational strategies and communications across a variety of different platforms (video, written, live, etc.) that inspire and engage the large field workforce and yield engaging field programs.
- Compile, distribute and archive all communications.
- Manage the content submission process, development, review, and distribution of weekly newsletter.
- Contribute to management and maintenance, including regular audits, of distribution lists across multiple channels, including Microsoft Outlook, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and an Automated Distribution List (ADL) tool, with a focus on ongoing quality control.
- Ad-hoc requests and special projects, including but not limited to: coordinating organizational communication activities and liaising with business partners, leading internal material approval processes for NSD/field communications, partnering on new product launches, developing engaging visual and written content, maintaining an editorial calendar, and compiling and managing surveys, trackers, etc.
- Compile quarterly analytics for all field and internal org communications.
- Manage multiple aspects of logistics for field-facing meetings.
- Exhibit keen business and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure and successfully juggle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-centered environment.
- Take initiative to resolve issues independently or to elevate the issue and seek guidance when needed.
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and pride in producing quality communications.
- Demonstrate strong time management and assignment prioritization skills, including flexibility around rapidly evolving business needs and an ability to work with a sense of urgency.
Contract Details
This position is a full-time contract beginning in early 2024. The person in this role will be expected to work approximately 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST each day from Monday-Friday. This role will be eligible for full-time employee benefits.
We are looking to complete the hiring process and make a job offer to the right candidate in late January 2024, with a targeted start date for the role in early February 2024.

Location
This is a hybrid position and requires in-office work at least once per week in the Titusville, NJ, area in alignment with the Communications team, as well as for all business-critical in-person meetings and events. More frequent in-office attendance will be required at the start of the contract for on-boarding and training.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline
- 5-7 years communications experience (internships included)

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Experience using multiple communication platforms, including SharePoint, Microsoft Suite, Viva Engage, and others, as well as HTML
- Corporate and/or healthcare experience or internships
- Prior experience in a communications department/environment or an intranet team
- Prior experience with content approvals through regulatory/legal/compliance system
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience preferred
