Named after the visionary Frederic Schumacher, who founded F. Schumacher & Co in 1889, FREDERIC is a must-read for designers and design lovers looking to stay ahead of the curve.
FREDERIC is seeking a digital managing editor to oversee content for its website and newsletter offerings. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong editorial background with experience in digital publishing and email marketing, as well as a passion for interior design and an understanding of FREDERIC’s elevated point of view. This position will report directly to Frederic Media’s Content Director and work closely with the rest of the editorial team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the fredericmagazine.com content calendar, including web-exclusive stories, video posts, and print content
- Assign and top-edit stories from in-house writers and freelancers
- Write 5+ stories per month, including house tours, intro copy for market stories, design round-ups, and more
- Build stories in Wordpress CMS, including image selection and product galleries, ensuring SEO best practices are followed
- Manage weekly FREDERIC FILES email newsletters
Requirements:
- 7+ years of digital editorial experience
- Extremely strong writing and top-editing skills
- A passion for interior design, the arts, and culture
- Familiarity with CMS platforms such as Wordpress
- Basic knowledge of SEO and affiliate best practices
- Excellent management and communication skills, both verbal and written
