Job Description
The Senior Graphic Artist/Graphic Design Specialist serves as a team member of the Marketing and College Information Department with responsibilities for graphic design for all print and digital campaigns, newsletter design and production, PowerPoint design, brochure design and production, web page design and development, social media design and production, photography, videography and promotional material design and production. Reports to the Executive Director, Marketing and Communications.
Responsibilities Include
- developing, produce and deliver original graphic concepts for the production of print and digital graphic products for the College. Projects will require skillfully applying moderate and complex graphic design principles and techniques.
- Research and coordinate upgrades for the job management system. Develop and maintain job files in accordance with production schedule to include cost estimating, job tracking and timelines.
- Develop written specifications for price quotes and bids.
- Brief team members and management on the status of projects, as needed. Assist team members with art and production needs.
- Participate in customer review meetings to receive feedback and to guide project revisions in order to complete the job assignment to the satisfaction of the client.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an institution that holds accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and approved by the College with a bachelor’s degree in graphic art/design or closely related field and five years or more documented experience. Successful results of a criminal background check.
Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of
- 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer experience as a graphic design specialist dealing with marketing and branding. In addition to animation skills for social media.
SALARY RANGE: $40,800.00 - $45,800.00
