Role Description
This part-time position is for a Mailchimp Monthly Newsletter Writer/Editor at GCS. The role involves creating, designing, and editing engaging newsletter content using Mailchimp to be distributed to subscribers. The writer/editor will be responsible for researching relevant topics, ensuring accuracy, and aligning content with the company’s mission of promoting art and cultural engagement. This is a hybrid role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, with flexibility for some remote work and in-person collaboration.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms, particularly Mailchimp, and experience in designing and distributing newsletters.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with attention to detail and grammar.
- Experience in research and content creation, particularly in art and cultural topics, is preferred.
- Familiarity with curatorial practices, art collecting, and promoting diversity in art representations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines effectively in a part-time role.
- Proficiency in audience engagement and crafting messages that resonate with readers.
- Knowledge of New York City’s art scene, including galleries, exhibitions, and cultural events, is a plus.
