The Osher Center for Integrative Health is jointly based at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The Center works to combine research, education and clinical care in moving medicine towards a new model of wellness that recognizes the interconnections of the body, mind and spirit to enhance resilience and promote health and healing. This position is a key function that supports the fulfilment of the Osher Center’s mission.
Working in collaboration with, and under minimal supervision from the Senior Program Manager, the Communications and Events Coordinator will:
- Coordinate and execute monthly Grand Rounds including communications, pre-and post-event administration, marketing and event management.
- Assist with event planning, marketing and execution of seminars, endowed lectures, conferences and community events offered by the Osher Center.
- Maintain and optimize the OsherCenter.org website by creating regular blog posts, and ensuring the website is both functioning and current; suggest improvements to the Senior Program Manager and work with the web hosting company to implement updates.
- Coordinate the Osher website updates with the Osher Clinical Center (different from the OsherCenter.org website, above), including monitoring and updating the website on a regular basis.
- Source and suggest newsworthy items, create monthly newsletter content, and update newsletter design as necessary.
- Maintain and help build the Osher Center mailing list to support targeted email marketing campaigns and communications.
- Work with other departments and institutions to facilitate cross-promotional marketing
- Create, schedule and manage weekly social media postings across Osher Center social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn)
- Support the development and delivery of new engagement platforms for Osher Center newsletter readers, website visitors and collaborative networks e.g. podcast series.
- Support the pre-and post production of the new Osher Podcast series
- Represent the Osher Center at in-person industry events
- Work with Mass General Brigham PR and Internal and External Communications Teams to support visibility of the Osher Center
- Collaborate with the Osher Collaborative Coordinating Center and other Osher Centers regarding relevant communication efforts that support the Harvard/BWH Osher Center.
- Record marketing metrics for website traffic, newsletter statistics, social media activity and podcast and webinar engagement.
- Assist in the development of brochures and annual reports
- Support other document development activities including helping to create and edit presentation materials.
- Assist with training and orienting staff and students as needed.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as needed.
