Job Description
The
District Sales Operations (DSO) role is responsible for supporting and optimizing district Business Development activities by enabling sales effectiveness, coordinating processes, and ensuring operational excellence aligned with Expeditors’ overall strategy and business objectives.
This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced and constantly evolving environment. The District Sales Operations partner closely with District Sales Managers, Sales Executives, and Regional/GEO Sales Operations teams to ensure consistent execution of sales initiatives and support sustainable revenue growth for the district office and the global Expeditors network.
The position offers a collaborative and dynamic work environment with clear opportunities for professional growth, recognition, and development within Sales Operations.
The following responsibilities define the minimum expected outcomes of a successful District Sales Operations professional:
- Support and attend weekly district sales meetings.
- Manage and distribute sales leads to ensure timely follow‑up and data accuracy.
- Organize and coordinate sales training sessions within the district.
- Manage company visitors and coordinate meeting schedules with sales teams and stakeholders.
- Deliver regular reporting to support sales initiatives and maintain data integrity across systems.
- Act as a local expert and advocate for sales enablement tools and CRM platforms.
- Facilitate bid and RFP processes, including coordination of inputs, executive summaries, formatting, deadline management, and accuracy of responses.
- Serve as the local point of contact for bid management and facilitation.
- Coordinate and deliver customer‑facing district events in collaboration with Business Development teams.
- Analyze and distribute feedback or survey results following customer events.
- Support local marketing initiatives and ensure use of approved templates and branding guidelines.
- Coordinate targeted marketing campaigns and regional newsletter communications alongside Regional Sales Operations.
- Participate actively in training and professional development initiatives to enhance Sales and Sales Operations knowledge.
- Work closely with Regional Sales Operations and GEO Sales Operations teams.
- Take on additional assignments or projects as required to support overall Business Development needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a sales support, sales operations, marketing, or commercial coordination role.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work productively both independently and collaboratively across functions.
- High attention to detail with a strong sense of accountability and urgency.
- Proficiency in digital tools, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
- Professional fluency in English is required.
