Job Description:
We’re looking for an Internal Communications Manager responsible for the communications strategy and execution for our Product and Fleet Operations departments, which includes the communication of our internal ridership programs across all markets. This role will serve as the internal communications partner to our Product and Fleet Operations leaders, helping shape and execute strategic employee communications for both departments. The individual will develop and implement clear, cohesive communications plans that support team priorities, drive alignment, and enhance engagement. In addition, they will translate Product and Fleet Operations updates into compelling, company-wide messaging, ensuring employees across the organization stay informed, connected, and aligned with key initiatives and developments.
A major component of this role will be responsible for managing our internal rider communications, developing strategies that drive employee understanding and adoption of our rider programs. You will ensure employees clearly know the services available across all our markets, who is eligible, how to participate, and what to expect in terms of limitations, safety, and confidentiality. You’ll guide riders on using the service, communicate timely updates and operational changes, and provide clear channels for support, issue reporting, and feedback. Communications will also reinforce feedback loops, celebrate program milestones, and recognize the essential role our employees play in shaping and improving our service as it evolves.
You’ll need strong communications experience, preferably at a ride-hail or robotaxi company, expertise in program management, and the ability to collaborate with various internal teams. Typically, you’d have several years of experience in both communications and program management with a demonstrated ability to deliver complex information in an engaging and approachable manner.
- Responsibilities:Manage communication strategy and execution for Product and Fleet Operations organizations
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute communication strategies
- Manage internal ridership communications strategy and execution
- Manage internal rider campaigns end-to-end, including project timeline management and executive reviews. Campaigns will involve the development of rider participation instructions and FAQs and content for our intranet, weekly all-hands, newsletter, Slack, and other internal communication channels as needed.
- Package complex information in an engaging and approachable way to increase internal ridership and help us gain crucial early insights and operational experience.
- Partner closely with Program Management, Policy, Legal, Product, Engineering, and Research to ensure strong alignment on internal rider program goals and success metrics.
- Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree
- 8 to 10 years experience in communications/copywriting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to understand and synthesize complex or technical ideas into clear messaging
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple time-sensitive projects under tight deadlines
