Education/Experience
- Ideal applicants will be entering their junior or senior year of college (or recent graduates) and have completed coursework related to graphic design, visual communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design, brand identity, and print/digital layout required. Applicants are encouraged to provide a portfolio (digital link or PDF) showcasing their graphic design work.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) required.
- Experience creating branded graphics and visual assets for social media platforms is strongly preferred.
- Individual will have an understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles. A strong eye for visual consistency and brand standards is essential.
Objective: This paid internship offers hands-on experience supporting our marketing department in developing high-quality visual content. As the Graphic Design Intern, you will focus on creating branded graphics, marketing materials, and visual assets to support branding, recruiting, social media, as well as internal and external communications across Landwehr Construction and the Landwehr Family of Entities. This position provides opportunities to build a professional portfolio, contribute creative ideas, and gain real-world experience in design while learning about the commercial construction industry.
Job Environment: This position is primarily an in-office role at our St. Cloud headquarters. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Marketing and other office personnel to develop visual content that represents the brand. Safety is our top priority, and proper PPE will be provided for all site visits.
The Graphic Designer Intern position is a part-time summer (May-August) position, scheduled for 20-30 hours per week.

Major Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Design graphics and visual assets for use across company channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram, ensuring consistent brand representation.
- Create branded templates, social media graphics, and promotional visuals aligned with Landwehr's brand standards.
- Build and maintain a library of reusable graphic design templates and branded assets for office, recruiting, and field operations use.
- Review and refine design materials to ensure brand consistency, visual quality, and professionalism across all outputs.
- Organize and maintain the company's graphic design asset library, including logos, templates, and brand elements.
- Design and assist with layout for the monthly internal newsletter and occasional external newsletter, ensuring visual appeal and brand alignment.
- Design and produce marketing materials for recruiting and business development, including flyers, brochures, signage, and digital graphics.
- Develop professionally branded templates for internal and external collateral, project proposals, and other standard company documents.
- Research and recommend creative design approaches to visually highlight projects, employees, and company culture.
- Provide insights into current graphic design and visual branding trends to strengthen Landwehr's marketing presence.
- Assist in creating visual materials and signage for employee events and company initiatives.
